Good bye 2015. The year flew by. Traveled with the HeARTs Speak team and brought the Perfect Exposure Project to animal shelters in Missouri, Arizona, California and Florida. It's always inspiring to see what animal advocates are doing around the country to save animals.
Girls and Their Dogs
Girls have a very special relationship with their dogs. Our dogs are our therapists, sidekicks, napping buddies, walking partners, fellow couch potatoes, co-pilots through life ... they are HOME. I am grateful for my all my furry friends and family. They make my heart sing every day. Below are some photos I took of girls and their dogs.
Faces of Rescue - 2014
An estimated 3-4 million animals are euthanized in US shelters each year – that’s nearly 10,000 animals killed every day. They were unwanted, abandoned, surrendered, unclaimed, lost, forgotten and never made it out of the shelter. That is the heartbreaking reality. Animal rescue organizations all over the world are working hard to save homeless animals in their communities.
Client Sessions | Pet Photography
It’s been a good year with rescue shoots, teaching, HeARTs Speak work, client sessions, fine art projects and a few commercial jobs. I am very thankful for my camera, animals, family and friends. I have cut back on the number of client sessions I do each year so I can devote more time to rescue work and photo projects.
Sleeping Arrangements
Last April, I moved into a small historic home in the Willo District in Phoenix. I have fallen in love with this tiny, cozy, little home. There is very small sitting room located next to the kitchen that has the most wonderful light. It is my favorite room in the house. Gracie and Rascal love to spend time in this room and when they get tired or bored of guarding the window, they take a nap.
